Luciano Sandrone is a famous name in the Barolo scene, recognized in Italy and around the world for his excellence. Fifty or more harvests, forty years of own business, three vines: Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto. Two territories, the Langa and the Roero, which together describe six great red wines.
The history of the winery began in the Seventies in the garage of Sandrone’s home and the dream was crowned immediately with the extraordinary 1978 harvest which brought the winery to bright visibility in the 1981 Vinitaly. It continued to produce absolutely territorial wines, but with an unmistakable style, together with his daughter Barbara and his brother Luca.
The winery is located in Barolo, in the heart of the Langhe. The vineyards are located in the Barolo and Roero areas, cultivated mainly with Nebbiolo, but with great attention also to Dolcetto and Barbera. Raised in Guiot and all grassed, they are managed according to organic farming, even if the winery is not interested in official certification. Vinification with only indigenous yeasts, maceration for approximately fifteen days and main aging in French oak tonneaus.
