Yoshiaki Sato and his wife Kyoko are two former banking professionals who worked for several years between Tokyo and London, and it was thanks to their old work that they met; both in love with wine, they deepened their passion by graduating in viticulture and oenology at Lincoln University in Christchurch, before arriving in Central Otago, where for two years they worked with New Zealand winemakers. 2009 marked their first label, with the purchase of organic Pinot Noir grapes for the production of 1500 bottles; they continue their winemaking activity for a few years, always making wine in a natural way, with spontaneous fermentations, without the use of additives and with minimal quantities of sulphites at bottling. In 2016 they purchased a farm with 3.5 hectares in Cromwell, on the slopes of Mount Pisa and planted Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Chenin, Gamay and Pinot Noir; in 2022 the first vintage comes out from the owned vineyards.
