In 1820 an ancestor of the family, called the Corazziere, planted the first Erbaluce vines in the territory of Agliè, in the Canavese area; the native variety was called Albaluce at the time, because when the sun rises its beans shine with luminous transparency.

The History
The Silva family has been producing wine for three generations, but only in 1994 with Giovanni and Stefano, uncle and nephew, did the first bottlings begin; the very high quality of the products was immediately evident and today the estate has become a point of reference in the Canavese wine scene and in the many expressions of Erbaluce.
Terroir & Winery
The twelve hectares of vineyards are located on the border with the park of the Ducal Castle of Agliè, located in a large morainic amphitheatre, exposed to the sun all year round and sheltered from the coldest winds; the mineral richness of the soil is a fundamental condition for giving maximum expressiveness to Erbaluce.
