A family with a long tradition in Valpolicella, the Speri winery is a significant interpreter of Amarone. Thanks to its deep connection with the territory, it has contributed significantly to the history of agriculture in Valpolicella, becoming a prominent point of reference in the field of Italian oenology. Furthermore, it is the winery in the Classic area that has the largest extension of organically cultivated land.
The estate has roots in 1885, when Carlo Speri began purchasing land and vineyards in San Pietro in Cariano, still the heart of the winery today. Over time, the family expanded the property and started the production and sale of wines in the Verona area. The agricultural traditions have been passed down to this day, with the new generation represented by Luca, Chiara, Laura and Giuseppe, who manage all phases of the production and distribution of the wines throughout the world.
Speri only makes grapes from its own vineyards and dedicates itself exclusively to the native vines of Valpolicella, such as Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Molinara and other local varieties. The family owns 60 hectares of vineyards strategically distributed between 120 and 350 meters above sea level in the most prestigious areas of Valpolicella Classica.
