Stefano Zoli

Originally from Romagna, Stefano Zoli attended Viticulture and Oenology at the University of Bologna while in the meantime he had his first experiences with Sangiovese; he then meets Aroldo Bellelli, an agronomist and oenologist from the Marche region who introduces him to Matelica; Stefano falls in love at first sight with that extraordinary terroir and the spark goes off. The vineyard he works on is a small plot of old Verdicchio vines at 430 meters above sea level, which Stefano manages entirely by hand; the treatments are carried out only with small quantities of sulfur and copper; the transformations in the winery are natural and spontaneous, where Stefano acts only as guide and guardian, without tricks or shortcuts.
