Currently the winery extends over an area of approximately 12 hectares in the heart of Monferrato, dedicated to the cultivation of Barbera, Dolcetto and Grignolino, Cortese, Chardonnay and Moscato grape varieties. The winery is completely family-run. The owner, Giuseppe Stella, works closely with his sons, Massimo and Paolo, responsible for operations related to viticulture and commercial management.

The History
Around 1920 the Azienda Agricola Stella was born in the municipality of Costigliole d’Asti, in the heart of Monferrato. Its founder was Domenico Stella, who, in addition to being an expert in making wine, also excelled as a music teacher. From that moment on, the union between wine and music has become the emblem of the winery’s tradition.
Terroir & Winery
Monferrato is a renowned Italian wine production area of international fame, especially for its excellence in red wines and sparkling wines. The dry continental climate conditions, with hot, dry summers and particularly cold winters, together with the characteristic geological composition of the soil, constitute an ideal environment for the cultivation of vines.
