Tanca Gioia Carloforte

For many years Carlo and Umberto dreamed of being able to grow a vineyard on the small island of San Pietro, in the extreme south-west of Sardinia, which they often frequented. The opportunity arrived in 2003 and the estate was established with the first production land; here the vines have not been touched by the invasion of phylloxera and the cultivation has still remained ungrafted today; the soils into which the roots penetrate are of volcanic origin with a sandy composition, immersed in the Mediterranean scrub, with the breath of the Mistral, the heat of the Sardinian sun and the sea all around.
