Tedeschi

Since 1630, the Tedeschi family has believed in the extraordinary potential of local wine production, enhancing it in a modern key, with innovative methods of production and environmental management, always looking for a wine capable of exciting and paying homage to Valpolicella. The impetus for the modern history of the company came in the early 1960s thanks to Lorenzo Tedeschi who was the first to understand the different potential of the grapes from the Monte Olmi vineyard, which came into the family’s ownership in 1918, and to decide to vinify them separately from the others. Thus was born the first symbolic wine of Tedeschi, emblem of the company and of this area, the Amarone Capitel Monte Olmi. Since then the company has always believed in hillside vineyards, where the poorer soil is able to produce more complex and structured wines.
