Guado al Tasso is the Bolgheri estate of Antinori, one of the historic families in the world of wine. It covers an area of approximately 320 hectares of vines in the so-called Bolgheri amphitheatre: a splendid plain surrounded by hills and overlooking the sea.

The products of Tenuta Guado Al Tasso
The History
Since the seventeenth century, the noble Della Gherardesca family has produced wine on its estates in Bolgheri. However, only with Guido Alberto Della Gherardesca (1780 – 1854) was there a decisive turning point towards a structured and targeted winemaking activity. In the 1930s the lands were inherited by Carlotta Della Gherardesca Antinori, mother of Piero Antinori. The rest is the history of Italian wine.
Terroir & Winery
The vineyards are located in a plain about 50m above sea level, and enjoy a very temperate climate, due to the proximity of the sea; the constant breezes, in fact, mitigate the hot summers and the harsh winters. The soil, of alluvial origin, varies from clay-sandy to clay-loamy with the presence of skeleton (Bolghera agglomeration).
