The products of Tenuta Roveglia
The History
Tenuta Roveglia was born in the 1930s from the passion of Federico Zweifel who, having left his native canton in Switzerland, began buying land on Lake Garda and planting the first vines. The estate was then expanded in the 1960s thanks to Federico’s son, Giusto Zweifel, and finally completely transformed in the 1980s, with vines planted and the purchase of modern equipment.
Terroir & Winery
The production area is located in an area with a geological history dating back 200 million years. The soil of morainic origin, a mixture of clay and limestone, offers unique conditions for the cultivation of the Turbiana vine. The mild microclimate throughout the year, thanks to the thermal regulation of Lake Garda, favors the ripening of the grapes. This combination of soil and microclimate has created a wine appreciated since Roman times for its pleasantness and authenticity.
