Craig Hawkins is a young South African producer who, after experiences in various wineries in Austria and Portugal, and having worked alongside Tom Lubbe of Domaine Matassa, started his own business in 2008, renting vineyards on the granite soils of the Paardeberg and on the sandstone soils of the Piketberg. In 2015 he bought a farm in the northern mountains of Swartland, called Bandits Kloof, where he has six hectares of vines. Testalonga has already become a reference in the panorama of South African artisanal wines, with its pure and expressive products, their extreme drinkability and Craig’s creativity.
