The History
In 1902, Giacomo Battista Tommasi married Augusta and together they continued cultivating the family land in the heart of Valpolicella. With intuition and foresight, the family immediately distinguished itself by its goal of making wine a product of excellence; this goal was quickly achieved and maintained up to the current fourth generation, where each of the nine brothers and cousins holds specific roles in the company, and together they manage the business and its strategies, projecting themselves towards the fifth generation.
Terroir & Winery
The Tommasi family manages and preserves some of the great crus of Valpolicella Classica: La Groletta, Conca d’Oro, and Ca’ Florian, with very high average vine ages and extraordinary terroirs. The exceptional winemaking potential of these plots also allows for minimal intervention in the vineyards, ensuring the richness and healthiness of the grapes.
