The History
It was 1998 when Enrico Sgorbati founded Torre Fornello, taking over the business of his grandfather, a winemaker and restructuring the family business while respecting the ancient structure and giving prestige to the village through contemporary solutions. Enrico continues the care of the vineyards that has been practiced for generations, focusing on territoriality while respecting all the factors at play, avoiding altering the natural expressions of the wines and vintages.
Terroir & Winery
Controlled grassing is practiced in the vineyard, which induces the vine into natural competition, in favor of greater quality of the fruit. The pesticide treatments follow a Organic control protocol that respects and safeguards the surrounding environment and health. In the winery, the combination of technologies and processes linked to tradition gives Torre Fornello a modern identity, but with ancient roots, managing to transfer the expression of a territory with a touch of contemporaneity into the wines.
