Villa Bucci is an important reference when talking about the Castelli di Jesi. Most of the production is centered on Verdicchio with 25 hectares in the DOC Classica area, plus six hectares of Montepulciano and Sangiovese in the DOC Rosso Piceno area.

The products of Villa Bucci
The History
Although the Bucci family has been dedicated to viticulture since 1700, the winery was officially founded in 1983 by Ampelio Bucci. He was one of the first to valorise Verdicchio, a vine previously considered minor. Today, Ampelio is assisted by his daughters Santa, Giovanna and Maria Luisa, with whom he manages a vast land of 350 hectares dedicated to various crops, including durum and soft wheat, corn, sugar beets, peas, seed crops, sunflowers and olive trees, in addition to grapes, of course.
Terroir & Winery
The vines, located at an altitude between 250 and 400 meters, grow on clayey soils rich in limestone. Since its founding, the winery has embraced the principles of organic farming and has been certified for over 20 years. Fermentations take place exclusively in stainless steel containers, while the subsequent aging phases take place in Slavonian oak barrels, many of which date back almost a century.
