Weingut Schmitt

Weingut Schmitt is a winery in Flörsheim-Dalsheim with more than two centuries of history, now run by Bianka and Daniel; she is Hungarian, he is German, they met when Bianka was a winery manager in Daniel’s family business; together they took over the winery, transforming it into one of the first German wineries with biodynamic certification; the natural approach carried out in the vineyards also continues in the winery, where manipulations are reduced to a minimum, as is the use of sulphites during bottling, and oenological products are banned. Blanka and Daniel are part of the protagonists of Rheinhessen’s redemption, and with other young producers they are contributing to giving it the dignity it deserves in the quality wine scene.
