Brunello di Montalcino “Selezione Villa Sostaga” DOCG 2015

From the prized sub-area of ​​Montosoli in Montalcino, a Brunello of great elegance. Vinification according to the traditional method, with medium-long maceration on the skins, frequent pumping over during the tumultuous phase and punching down in order to break and spray the cap for greater extraction of the polyphenols present in the skins. All with manual processing, with spontaneous fermentations and without external oenological tricks. After an initial passage in steel, the wine matures for three years in 50hl Slavonian oak barrels; followed by bottle aging of more than six months.

Pale ruby ​​red colour, it stands out for its balsamic, toasted and spicy notes, which accompany the aromas of small red berries and violets; direct and sincere sip, deep but of great finesse, with enveloping and well-defined tannins, balanced; in closing pleasant mineral and citrus notes. Nice persistence.

Grilled or stewed meat, game, risotto with mushrooms, mature cheeses.
