Krug Grande Cuvée 167ème Édition was created on the basis of the 2011 harvest. To complete the wines of this vintage, the Maison made use of its wide range of reserve wines, making a careful selection from these which constituted the 42% of the final assembly. Various Meuniers from different vintages brought freshness, while some Chardonnays and other wines produced from the 1990s harvests in the Montagne de Reims plots gave the breadth and roundness essential for every edition of Krug Grande Cuvée.
Golden yellow colour, very fine and persistent perlage. Rich and fine nose of freshly bloomed flowers, ripe fruit and dried fruit, gingerbread and citrus fruits. Hazelnut, nougat, citrus fruits, brioche and honey return to the sip. Extreme elegance and depth, infinite persistence.
Aged parmesan, turbot with truffles, Iberian jamon from Jabugo, aged comté, oysters, grilled scampi, Indian or Moroccan dishes.
