Etna Rosso “Outis” DOC 2008

It comes from the grapes of Vigna Chianta in Contrada Ronzini: eastern exposure, altitude from 640 to 700m, volcanic soil with red pumice. Outis rosso is produced from a few old plants of Nerello Mascalese and Cappuccio present in the vineyard, with vinification in steel and aging in 225 and 500 liter wooden barrels, followed by a further 3 months in the bottle.

Ruby color with garnet reflections. The nose is fine and varied: hints of mushroom, humus, liquorice, and then aromas of mint, blackberry jam, rhubarb, cinnamon, black pepper and vanilla. A sip of great freshness and minerality, with lively and integrated tannins and a balsamic finish.

Roast game, hare, wild boar, medium-aged cheeses.
