Gaja, Barolo “Dagromis” DOCG

It comes from vineyards located between 300 and 450 meters above sea level in the municipality of La Morra, on clay-limestone marl soils. It owes its name to the Gromis family, from whom Gaja purchased the vineyards in 1995. The wine is aged for 12 months in barriques and 12 months in large barrels.

Garnet red with an orange edge. The nose is elegant and delicate, with floral notes of violet and iris, fruity notes of cherry and raspberry, and a balsamic base of licorice and roasted notes. On the palate, a beautiful harmony of body and tannins, and a long finish.

Excellent with rich dishes, such as Fassona cheek with Barolo reduction, roast pigeon, or lamb chops.
