It is produced from vineyards planted at an altitude of 320-420 meters, facing south/southwest, on rocky soils with a reddish color due to the presence of iron mineral salts. The area’s cool and breezy climate favors a slow ripening of the grapes. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with maceration on the skins for approximately two weeks. The wine ages for three years in Slavonian oak barrels, partly in smaller barrels, and completes its refinement with an additional eight months in bottle before release.
