Description

‘Anno primo’ refers to the first vintage produced by the winery in 1974, when the family’s first Ghemme DOC was produced. The grapes undergo fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is then transferred to oak barrels where it finishes its 20-month maturation. It rests for a few months in the bottle before being released on the market.

Tasting

Red colour between ruby and garnet. The nose arrives with aromas of violets and withered roses, resin and liquorice. Dry and rightly tannic on the palate.

Pairings

It lends itself to accompanying mountain game dishes.
