Description

It comes from a half-hectare single-body plot on the Bricco Fubine, facing south, on medium-textured soil tending to sandy limestone. Harvested by hand in perforated boxes, destemming, soft crushing, maceration for about 10-12 days, ageing in steel tanks for 5 months; Slavonian oak casks for 18 months; bottle ageing for about 6 months.

Tasting

It is an intense ruby red colour with slightly orange reflections. The Maestro wine is intense, ethereal, with marmellous aromas clearly reminiscent of plums in spirit, figs and blackberries; it is a wine of great character and structure; its remarkable body makes it soft and long in the mouth; it has good acidity that lends freshness and balance.

Pairings

It goes well with important first courses such as tagliatelle alla lepre, braised and roasted red meats, game and mature cheeses.
