70% Corvina, 20% Rondinella, 10% Corvinone
The grapes are harvested and selected by hand, then dried for approximately three months in a well-ventilated loft. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for 25 days at a temperature of 25-30°C. The wine then ages for three years in 35-hl Slavonian oak barrels. It then ages extensively in the bottle before being released for sale.
Deep ruby red color with garnet hues; intense nose of red fruit in alcohol, black pepper, licorice, and cocoa, with notes of aromatic herbs and coffee; powerful and sumptuous on the palate, soft and elegant, with hints of ripe fruit and a long finish.
Stewed red meats, braised meats, game, mature cheeses.
