Sangiovese 80%, Merlot 20%
Manual harvest in two stages, first the Merlot then the Sangiovese. The grapes are harvested within a day and transported to the winery for winemaking; the alcoholic fermentation takes place in approximately 10 days, the maceration continues for a total of 21 days; everything happens in stainless steel and concrete vats. After racking and malolactic fermentation, the wine is transferred to third or fourth passage French barriques, where it matures for approximately 12 months. The blend is made before bottling and the wine ages in the bottle for a few months.
Very floral nose, with hints of cherry and currant; sip of great balance and excellent drinkability.
Tuscan appetizers, grilled meats, mature cheeses.
