Grapes selected from estate-owned vineyards; vinification in steel with maceration on the skins for approximately 30 days at fairly high temperatures; maturation in French and Slavonian oak barrels for approximately 30 months, with a small portion maturing in barriques; bottle aging for several months.
An elegant and refined nose of ripe fruit and spices; a well-structured and concentrated palate, with substantial yet well-integrated tannins. A very long life.
Stewed meats, braised meats, stews, game, truffle-based dishes, mature cheeses.
