“Poggio ai Merli” Merlot Toscana IGT 2019

Merlot grapes grow in vineyards between 350 and 400m above sea level, on calcareous soil. The grapes, harvested at the beginning of September, ferment in steel at a controlled temperature, also carrying out malolactic fermentation. Then we move on to the refinement phase, for a period of 30 months in 50% new barriques, plus 12 months in the bottle.

Very intense ruby ​​red color, with a light purple hue. On the nose it has an intense and complex aroma, where fruity notes of blackcurrant stand out. In the mouth it is balanced, soft with an aftertaste that recalls the olfactory notes.
