Sagrantino
From a single old vineyard on the hills of Colcimino the selected grapes are harvested in the first half of October; destemmed and pressed, they macerate and ferment in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28°C for 28 days, with daily pumping over and delestage. It matures in large oak barrels for 48 months and refines for another 48 months in the bottle.
Intense ruby color with garnet shades. The aromatic range is rich: cassis, tobacco, coffee and graphite. Warm, powerful, spicy, with velvety and balanced tannins, it is a long-lasting wine.
It goes well with succulent, long-cooked meat dishes.
