Marino Lanzini’s Sforzato di Valtellina is produced from the best Nebbiolo grapes dried naturally in the drying room, thanks to the winds that pass through Valtellina. After vinification with 30 days of maceration on the skins, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in wood, after which it refines in oak tonneaux for 24 months and in the bottle for another 10.
Sforzato which definitely differs from the heavy and jammy style of many others, Marino’s is instead a profound wine but endowed with great finesse and elegance. The beautiful aromas of ripe fruit and spices anticipate an intense and rich sip, which the beautiful acid vein supports, encouraging drinking rather than tiring it.
