Verduno Pelaverga “Speziale” DOC 2020

This unique wine is produced almost exclusively in the municipality of Verduno, from the rare native Pelaverga Piccolo vine, which gives rise to a wine with an unmistakable spicy scent, especially of pepper. Maceration and fermentation in steel tanks at a controlled temperature for approximately one week. Maturation for 5/6 months in steel or concrete, refinement for a couple of months in the bottle.

Ruby red colour, elegant and very expressive aroma of spices, tea leaves, flowers and red fruits. Fresh and juicy taste, with floral aromas and a light and elegant tannin.

It is an excellent wine for the whole meal, it pairs well with typical Piedmontese appetizers, white meats and medium-aged cheeses. Also perfect for a chat with friends, munching on some hazelnuts from the Langhe.
