Gavi dei Gavi “D’Antan” DOCG 2009

Produced only in the best years. White vinification, cold, partly macerated on the skins; left in contact with the native first fermentation yeasts (“sur lie”) for a period of up to ten years until bottling. Bottled naturally clear, for decanting, without filtration. Excellent when drunk as soon as it is released on the market, it is very suitable for aging and refining over the years.

Intense light straw color, with delicate greenish reflections. Natural clarity by static settling – unfiltered. Intense, long, continuous, persistent perfume, a warm and persuasive sensation in a soft and elegant complex. Very typical flavour, light mineral hints that fade into flint; walnut and toasted almond in the finish.

Before, after, or during meals. It is enhanced when paired with tasty cheeses.
