Brigaldara

A millennium of history, forty-seven hectares of vineyards spread across three different areas of the province of Verona: Valpolicella Classica, Valpantena and Valpolicella Orientale. A historic family, the Cesari, since 1928. A group of young oenologists and agronomists who work tirelessly in the vineyard. Here is the Brigaldara farm.

The products of Brigaldara

The History

The name “Brigaldara” appears as early as the 12th century in purchase and sale documents. In 1928, Renzo Cesari started the specialization of the estate in viticulture, which was then carried forward by his son Lamberto. It was in the 1980s that Stefano, Renzo’s nephew, took over the reins with the oenologist Roberto Ferrarini, a great innovator of Amarone and Valpolicella. Stefano, Lamberto and Antonio Cesari renovate the winery and vineyards, specializing them based on the varieties best suited to each area.

Terroir & Winery

An extraordinary biodiversity, an authentic agricultural organism lives on the farm. The desire is to preserve and promote this diversity through sustainable practices both in the vineyards and in the winery. Brigaldara thus represents the entire essence of Valpolicella, capturing in every bottle the richness of a very varied viticultural heritage.
