The History

The winery has origins that date back to 1902, when it was founded by Pietro Castellani. Currently, it is managed by the fourth generation, represented by the brothers Alessandro, oenologist, and Nicola, agronomist. Since 2016, the winery has obtained organic certification and in 2008, together with other producers, contributed to the creation of FIVI, the Italian Federation of Independent Winemakers.

Terroir & Winery

The winery owns 29 hectares of land, mainly under vineyards and located in a hilly position at an altitude between 150 and 300 meters, which are mainly exposed to the east and south-east. Since 1990, all dry stone walls (“marogne”) have been restored, with a preference for terracing as it offers optimal exposure, despite requiring more work than simpler and cheaper solutions.
