Cascina Fonda

In 1963 Secondino Barbero purchased a farmhouse located in a “fonda”, that is, a valley sheltered from the wind, embedded in the hill. Secondino grows corn, wheat, vegetables, hazelnuts and one hectare of vineyard; over the years the conversion of the land to vineyards increased until, with the arrival of his sons Marco and Massimo at the helm of the estate in 1988, the Cascina became in all respects a winery.
