The History

Cascina Grilli began in 1983 with Gianni Vergnano, who chose to invest in the Castelnuovo Don Bosco area, realizing its particular uniqueness compared to the rest of Piedmont and even compared to the rest of Monferrato alone. The first bottles were released in 1985 and were included in the first issue of Gambero Rosso’s “Vini d’Italia”.

Terroir & Winery

The vines have their roots in the blue-grey clayey marl soil, with a limestone matrix, which gives rise to rich, elegant and strongly identifying wines. The work in the winery is totally oriented towards the natural expression of the vines, the territory and the vintages.
