Cave De Donnas

At Donnas in Valle d’Aosta the very steep mountain slopes are overcome by centuries-old terraces held back by dry stone walls up to 4 meters high. The conformation of the territory has always characterized the very limited and fragmented dimensions of the winemakers’ lands, pushing a group of them to establish this cooperative in 1971; to date, Cave de Donnas has around fifty members for a total of 20 cultivated hectares. Heroic hard work and a lot of authenticity, as well as the protection of Picotendro, one of the mountain clones of Nebbiolo.
