Domaine des Bottes Rouges

Coming from a family of dairy farmers and a former teacher, Jean Baptiste Menigoz slowly but surely approached the world of wine; in 2000, together with a friend, he bought a small vineyard in the Arbois area and began the first experiments in conventional winemaking; in the meantime he attended the oenology faculty of Beaune, then doing an internship with Stéphane Tissot; at that point his way of working changed and in 2012 the Domaine des Bottes Rouges was born; Jean Baptiste thus finally finds his way; long whole bunch macerations, spontaneous fermentations, no pressing or pumping over, sulphur-free processing; a rapidly growing passion and expertise.
