The products of I Clivi
The History
Its story began in the 1990s, when Ferdinando Zanusso, returning from work experiences in Africa, purchased an old farmhouse with adjoining vineyard land, around Cormons, in Corno di Rosazzo, Gramogliano, in his wife’s homeland. His son Mario, together with his father, will begin to recover the abandoned vines and plant new ones.
Terroir & Winery
The 12 hectares of vineyard are divided into two distinct areas, in the Collio Goriziano and in the Colli Orientali del Friuli; the 60-80 year old vines are found at 200m above sea level on sandstone marl soils, which give personality and character to the grapes. The production approach is very natural: no fertilization or irrigation in the vineyard, spontaneous vinification without maceration or filtration in the winery, exclusive use of steel and indigenous yeasts.
