Small winery

The Deville family has owned vineyards in Verzy for several generations; he has always grown his own grapes to sell them to large Champagne houses, until in 1966 the then twenty-three year old Jean Paul decided to use his own grapes to produce a Deville brand Champagne; in 1968 the first vintage was released and in 1986 a Rosé Champagne, among the first ever made by a small producer.
