The History
The business began in 1951 with Cesare Gianaroli who began processing and vinifying his own grapes. He was succeeded by his son Graziano who, however, passed away prematurely in 1992. The very young Mirco, then fourteen years old, began working among the vines and with great determination slowly took over the reins of the estate, renovating the winery over time and increasingly refining and improving the his wines, constantly guided by the peasant wisdom handed down to him.
Terroir & Winery
The estate extends over 8 hectares of vineyards, between Castelvetro and Vignola, and produces 12 organic labels from four exceptional native vines: Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro, Pignoletto, Malbo Gentile and Trebbiano di Modena. 70% of the energy used is self-produced in a completely sustainable way.
