The term ‘Vrille’ refers to the ‘tendril’, that small curled green stem, fundamental for the vine, which discreetly and forcefully allows the plant to cling to the supports. The History
La Vrille’s winemaking adventure began in 2005 in Verrayes, in the Aosta Valley, when Hervé and Luciana decided to plant vines in the natural amphitheater that surrounds their farmhouse, where a great variety of spontaneous Mediterranean plants grow . Just over two hectares of vineyard for rare and precious artisanal wines.
Terroir & Winery
La Vrille believes in respecting the environment and attaches great importance to the soil, considering it crucial for the well-being of plants. The vineyards are located amphitheatrically on steep slopes at 600/800m above sea level, tended by hand with limited interventions; in the winery the vinifications are simple and essential. The simplicity of these processes emerges in the sensorial characteristics of the wines, unique and unmistakable.
