The History
Nicolodi Alfio’s winery, founded by his grandfather Antonio in the early 1900s in Cembra in the historic Carraia district, was taken over by Alfio in 1985. Since then he has managed the vineyards with great attention, making changes and improvements, both to breeding facilities and winemaking processes. Since 2000, he has dedicated himself with determination to the recovery of the historic vines of the valley, a long-term commitment which in recent years has been producing increasingly significant results.
Terroir & Winery
The vineyards thrive at an altitude above 500 metres, growing on medium-textured soils enriched with clay components. They are grown with the traditional Trentino pergola or guyot. All agronomic operations are carried out manually, with meticulous attention and deep respect for the plants and the surrounding environment. Cold maceration to enhance the whites, and refinement in used wood to give the right balance to the reds.
