The History
In the 1950s, the Di Vaira family, of Molise origins, moved to Bolgheri to cultivate the land. In 2000, Federico’s father acquired the Musi brothers’ farmhouse, starting the winery. Since 2006 Federico has led it with dedication, embracing the approach of collaboration between man and nature, combining traditional wisdom with accurate research, without any kind of fundamentalism.
Terroir & Winery
The Bolgheri D.O.C. area it is bordered to the west by the sea and surrounded on the other sides by wild hills, covered by woods and ancient olive trees. These elements create a unique climate and microclimate, avoiding both excessive heat and intense cold. The combination of the sea and the hills generates beneficial breezes, particularly useful for protecting and enriching the vine.
