The History
The villa and the winery were built in 1892 by Vittorio Giannotti, grandfather of the current owners, who had purchased the historic Tenuta di Pietra Porzia, which had belonged to the Papal States for centuries. Today the villa has been transformed into a farmhouse with rooms and a restaurant, and the winery continues to transform the grapes from the surrounding 37 hectares into the wine treasures of Frascati.
Terroir & Winery
Modern technologies in a traditional context, using only the estate’s grapes; soft pressing, exclusive use of steel for vinification and refinement, targeted measures to preserve the typical fragrance of these grapes as much as possible. The techniques adopted allow a very limited use of sulphites, below half the permitted threshold.
