The History
The winery has been owned by the Antinori family since 1995, the year of the first Brunello Pian delle Vigne harvest. Tenuta Pian delle Vigne takes its name from the locality of the same name where there is a characteristic 19th century railway station.
Terroir & Winery
The 65 hectares of vineyards cultivated with Sangiovese Grosso are located at an altitude of approximately 130m above sea level, mainly exposed to the South-West, on clayey, calcareous and skeletal soil. The vinification is traditional, with the use of large barrels which allow the elegance and finesse of Brunello di Montalcino to be preserved.
