90% Sangiovese Grosso, 5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Merlot
Hand harvested in early October. Vinification in 30/40hl stainless steel tanks with maceration for approximately 15/18 days at a constant temperature of 28°/30°C. After racking, the wine passes into new medium toasted barriques, where it matures for 15/18 months. Refines 24/36 months in bottle.
Intense ruby colour; nose rich in notes of forest and red fruits, from raspberry to cherry. Soft and full-bodied sip, elegant and with good persistence.
Crostini and Tuscan cured meats, first courses with ragù, stews, medium-aged cheeses.
