Alicante Costa Toscana IGT 2020

From Alicante Nero grapes, a native variety of the Alta Maremma, which had been uprooted to make room for other varieties with richer colors and more imposing bodies. The reference vineyard, trained using spurred cordon, extends over soil characterized by clay mixed with pebbles and sand, approximately 250 meters above sea level. In the cellar, red vinification involves 20% whole bunches and involves spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with Native yeasts. The refinement takes place for 10 months in concrete tanks.

Intense ruby ​​red color. On the nose it expresses aromas of cherry and small red fruits, intertwined with hints of rose and violet and notes of wet earth, graphite and dark spices. The taste is fresh, savory and intense, supported by well-integrated tannins and a long fruity and floral finish.

At the table it goes well with cured meats and cheeses as well as delicious land dishes that are not excessively tasty.
