80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc
Long maceration on the skins for about three weeks, with frequent batonnage. Malolactic fermentation and maturation take place for 12 months in barriques, 1/3 new and 2/3 used. Baccara is bottled after light clarification and placed on the market as a reserve after approximately two years of aging in the bottle.
Merlot gives “Baccara” fullness, softness and vegetal notes, while Cabernet Franc gives it freshness, structure and spicy aroma: the result is an elegant and harmonious red.
