Barolo Crù Léon DOCG 2012

From vineyards in Serralunga d’Alba facing South-East, with an average age of 45 years. The maceration on the skins takes place for the first 8 days in concrete tanks with very energetic punching down for good color extraction, for the following 60 days with softer punching down to extract the noble tannins. Malolactic and maturation in 30 hl Slavonian oak barrels for 36 months.

Ruby red color with garnet reflections. Broad and complex nose of berries, spices and chocolate with notes of violets and roses, hazelnuts, undergrowth and truffles. The sip is warm and savory, with splendid tannins and balanced acidity; all the notes of the olfactory bouquet return.

It goes well with game and red meats, noble white meats and truffled first courses.
