Sangiovese Grosso
Manual harvest in boxes with selection in the vineyard in the fourth week of September and the first of October. Vinification in 10hl concrete tanks with maceration on the skins for approximately 18/20 days, at a constant controlled temperature of 28/30°C. Maturation for 36 months in 20/25hl oak barrels and another 12 months in medium toasted French tonneaux. Bottle refinement for 8/10 months.
Intense and clear ruby red colour; broad and complex nose with important balsamic and undergrowth notes, sage, rosemary, small red fruits and light toasting. Full-bodied and structured sip, with good acidity and minerality, great elegance and a seductive tannic finish.
Roast Chianina meat, grilled Florentine steak, stewed game, mature cheeses.
