100% Cabernet Franc
Made in 1989, this great wine is the symbol of the cellar and one of the most representative labels of the Bolgheri area. It was initially born as a pure Bordeaux blend, and then transformed in 2001 into a pure Cabernet Franc. The grapes come from three vineyards with an average age of 25 years, with a very low yield per plant; harvested in the first half of September, they are fermented and macerated in concrete for 20 days. This is followed by refinement in new barriques for approximately 18 months and a period of refinement in the bottle.
Concentrated ruby red colour, intense aroma, notes of ripe red fruits and vegetal hints, embellished with sweet spices and toasting. Soft, intense and warm taste, tannins well integrated into the structure of the wine, persistent finish.
Braised and roasted meats, medium-aged cheeses, pit and blue cheeses.
